Join NewTown Macon for Sounds of Progress! Local hip hop artist ALäZ (Vinson Muhammad) will take the stage following the Partners in Preservation Awards Ceremony around 8:00pm. Sounds of Progress is free and open to the public!

Prior to Sounds of Progress, join us on Wednesday, October 9 for a behind-the-scenes tour of downtown Macon's transformative development. NewTown Macon's Tour of Progress, presented by Cadence Bank, provides a sneak peek of projects underway and a look into what programs fuel our vibrant downtown. This event is family-friendly and FREE!

Tours will depart from the Lofts at Capricorn (520 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) starting at 5:00pm. They will depart every 30 minutes with the last tour leaving at 6:30.

Tours will end with a casual reception hosted by NewTown Macon at Macon Beer Company's newly completed taproom on Second Street. Tour one of downtown Macon's newest projects while enjoying food, drink, and a brief awards ceremony announcing this year's Partners in Progress awards. The awards ceremony begins when the last tour arrives at the reception, around 7:00pm.
